Midsummer

Despite the KAL is now finished for the Goddess Knits Mystery stole 3, I've just come to the end of clue 2 and about to start clue 3 so I thought I would just put a photo up to show the progress, plus I don't think the pattern on the Goddess Knits site doesn't really show the lovely beginning pattern up...

It's heartmelting! What yarn are you using?

That really is beautiful! I've never done any of those shawls. After seeing yours I may have to consider it! Quite lovely!

Norwegian purl:

Go here:

Scroll down to the Norwegian Purl video.

I had to watch it maybe twenty times before I got it. It’s cool!

It’s very useful for doing purl stitches where you want to leave the yarn in back, as in the knit stitch.

For example:

The first purl stitch on a new needle when knitting in the round. Easier to tighten when the yarn is in the back.

A purl, followed by a yarnover (Norwegian purl makes a smaller hole)
